ABOUT

Brooks is a 20-year-old student at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she is working towards a double major in Theatre and English with respective concentrations in Playwriting and Film Studies. She fell in love with performing at age five, when she played Tinkerbell in a summer camp skit, and has continued to foster creativity and pursue different aspects of entertainment in her personal and professional life. Brooks has worked onstage and off in the theatre and entertainment worlds, and has created and cultivated social and professional relationships with working artists in several sectors of the arts, including recording artists, television actors, and Broadway directors. Brooks has written for several theatrical productions, including XMAS!17 (writer, assistant lyricist) and Barnard Theatre's Twelfth Night (assistant composer), and recently received the Brandt Playwriting Award for her original play The Third Thing. Brooks is hooked on telling stories in any way she can, whether that be writing scripts and songs, performing stories written by others, or helping her peers develop their own storytelling abilities.
